Overview of role
The Human Resources Manager, Asia and ME works closely with the HR Directors and the HR team to support the achievement of business goals through our people. This role plays a central role in the implementation and management of human resources practices in the region and oversees the employee lifecycle, helping ensure our practices align with our values, local employment laws and a high-performing culture.
Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification
- Employee Relations & Engagement
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, managers and employees
- Proactively manage employee engagement initiatives
- Successfully support the management of performance/conduct/grievance processes
- Provide expert guidance on local employment laws and risk management
2. Performance & Talent Management
- Support the development of high impact performance management systems
- Manage the performance cycle in the region, to enhance individual and team performance
- Identify skills needs/gaps now and for the future and collaborate with the Resourcing and L&D teams to plan to meet these needs
- Coach managers to build confidence, capability and healthy team environments
- Support the compensation review in the region
5. Culture & Values
- Help shape and embed a values-led, inclusive culture, with a strong focus on engagement and DE&I
6. Talent Acquisition
- Support and collaborate with the Resourcing team to ensure the recruitment process in the region reflects our values and needs
- Ensure employees are onboarded seamlessly and proactively
7. HR Operations
- Ensure local HR processes and operations are fit for purpose and aligned with our people vision
Education, Skills & Experience
- Typically 5+ years’ experience in human resources, ideally within fast-paced environments
- Proven experience operating in high-growth professional services, financial services, or technology-led organisations
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, evolving environments
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships quickly at all levels, including with senior leaders
- Strong partnering, influencing and advisory skills
- Strong, hands-on experience across a broad range of HR matters, with expert knowledge of local employment laws
- Able to work autonomously
- A personal drive for high standards and continuous improvement, coupled with sound judgement and pragmatism
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level preferred
- Professional HR certification strongly preferred
