Overview of role
This position plays a vital role in supporting the firm's strategic objectives to drive client wins, growth of business relationships, increased competitive advantage and ultimately growth in the firm's revenue and market share. This position will report to Head of Marketing & BD for Asia & Middle East.
Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification
- Providing end-to-end BD support to execute events (including local, virtual and overseas), conferences, seminars, sponsorships, and prepare for marketing trips
- Drafting pitches and client proposals, working with the appropriate BD Manager and/or partners and lawyers, for the purpose of acquiring new clients or services
- Maintaining information for Asia & ME on website, intranet pages, social media platforms, marketing tools and databases
- Maintaining Asia relevant brochures, collateral, signage and merchandise
- Supporting on marketing communications (including digital) such as publications, newsletters, social media posts, video, podcasts, Vuture emails
- Coordinating directory submissions, client references and awards nominations for practice groups
- Coordinating market research as it relates to specific market segments, company types and industries
- Developing client presentations and other client-facing materials to support the strategic goals of the firm
- Coordinating regional and global MBDC and operational projects as assigned
- Working collaboratively with the law firm and corporate services business (WPS) on proactive marketing activities
- General marketing administration support, including tasks such as the development and documentation of processes as well as invoice processing
Education, Skills & Experience
- A bachelor's degree in a related field such as marketing, business, communications or law is essential.
- A minimum of 3 - 4 years of marketing and/or business development experience, ideally within the professional services sector; experience in a law firm is desirable.
- Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in CRM programs; experience with InterAction is desirable as well as Sitecore
- An expert knowledge of digital marketing and the latest marketing tech platforms (e.g. Vuture, On24, PlayPlay (or similar))
- Experience in supporting conferences, events and webinars, preparing pitches and managing multiple initiatives at once.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills; native or fluent business Mandarin / Cantonese
- Excellent attention to detail
- Project management capabilities, able to coordinate and prioritize workload and competing deadlines
- Ability to analyze, interpret and present data
- Ability to understand and keep up to date with market trends and opportunities
- Ability to take initiative and work autonomously as well as part of a team
- The ability to prioritize workload, work extended hours when needed and the ability to travel for work
