Overview of role

 OVERVIEW OF ROLE

Although contracted by and based in the Dubai office, the Senior Regulatory Reporting Executive "the Role" will be a shared resource of the Dubai and Cayman offices on a 70/30 basis and will work on DIFC, ADGM, BVI and Cayman matters on an as needed basis (subject to capacity).

The following service lines will be the primary focus of the Role:

• ADGM/BVI Annual Accounts filings for selected clients.

• AEOI (FATCA & CRS) self-certification filings for ADGM/DIFC clients.

• Economic substance reporting ("ESR") for selected clients.

• Supporting the Team Leader with FAR filings

• Books of account ("BOA") for selected clients.

• Support the Law Firm with the annual ESN filings (and BO) and act as the UAE point of contact for the Cayman Corporate Governance ESN filings team.

The clients being serviced by the Role will generally (but not necessarily) have a nexus with the Dubai, Hong Kong or Singapore offices of WPS or Walkers (the "Asia/Middle East offices"). The role will require strong time management skills.

 

REPORTING

The Role will generally be self-sufficient in respect of any ADGM/DIFC/BVI matters and will be required to remain current on emerging corporate governance trends and changes in relevant jurisdictions. The incumbent will have client-facing responsibilities across the Middle East and Asia and will be required to support a portfolio of clients, the clients being serviced are some of the most important for the business and simultaneously with managing project-based work and meeting regulatory filing deadlines.

Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Helping the Dubai office establish the mentioned service lines for ADGM and DIFC clients and being responsible for the delivery of those service lines.

• Assisting with the delivery of the existing ESR service line for selected clients subject to capacity as determined by the Team Leader.

• Assisting the Team Leader with FAR filings on the CIMA REEFs portal subject to capacity as determined by the Team Leader.

• All matters associated with or incidental to the delivery of the service lines including: o liaising with colleagues, clients, other service providers and/or relevant authorities as necessary.

o tracking activity and providing updates to the Team Leader as and when requested.

o helping resolve any issues encountered and escalating same where necessary.

o assisting with the invoicing process as necessary.

• Assisting with drafting internal and external communications and materials.

• Assisting with training to include preparation of training materials.

• Assisting with ad hoc projects as necessary.

Education, Skills & Experience

THE CANDIDATE

• Preferably hold a Professional Designation (CA, CPA or Tax) or undergraduate degree in Accounting, Tax or Finance or equivalent with minimum 3 years of relevant experience;

• Demonstrable experience/knowledge of corporate requirements/obligations and accounting practices in key relevant jurisdictions;

• Highly organized, detail-oriented and dedicated to client service excellence;

• Individual must be professional;

• Strong administrative skills and the ability to multi-task;

• Reliability is essential;

• Ability to work in and lead a team;

• Excellent interpersonal skills;

• Ability to meet strict deadlines and operate on their own initiative;

• Windows -Microsoft Word -Microsoft Excel – Outlook;

• Experience of Viewpoint corporate administration software highly desirable.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability and willingness to occasionally work outside normal working hours/days when requested.
