Overview of role

The Role

Walkers is currently seeking an ambitious, driven and enthusiastic associate to join its highly regarded and market leading Finance & Capital Markets group in Dublin. Our award winning practice is a recognised leader in its field and you will join a dynamic, experienced and growing team of leading lawyers.

Our Finance & Capital Markets group is highly regarded in the market as a specialist, high-end finance team capable of executing complex, big-ticket finance and structured credit deals. We regularly act opposite and in collaboration with Band 1 and Band 2 firms on a wide range of securitisation (both cash and synthetic), structured finance, sophisticated fund finance and leveraged loan transactions.

Our Finance & Capital Markets group comprises a multi-disciplinary team of 20+ dedicated fee-earners. They are supported by five tax advisers who support a number of practice areas, three regulatory lawyers and two listing agents. In addition, our Finance & Capital Markets group also works with our Asset Finance, Corporate, Real Estate and Investment Funds teams on complex multi-disciplinary, cross-border mandates. Our team is among the largest dedicated debt capital markets teams in Ireland.

Unlike many of the domestic Irish law firms, Walkers is a truly global firm with ten international offices operating across eight jurisdictions. We have a large footprint in EMEA, Asia and the Americas and our transactions frequently involve our colleagues from our overseas offices.

In this role, you will be given the opportunity to work on a broad range of matters representing top tier international clients. You will work directly with partners and transactions will be high quality, interesting and challenging.

Our clients are amongst the most innovative firms and institutions across the financial markets, and rely on us for our ability to provide solutions to their most important legal, tax and business issues. We develop globally-minded, entrepreneurial lawyers who are experts in their field.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in an internationally focused, professional organisation which places huge emphasis on continuous professional development, mentoring and career development within a collegiate team-based environment.
