The Role

Walkers is currently seeking an ambitious, driven and enthusiastic associate to join its highly regarded Real Estate group in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and experienced team of leading lawyers.

 

Unlike many of the domestic Irish law firms, Walkers is a truly global firm with ten international offices operating across eight jurisdictions. We have a large footprint in EMEA, Asia and the Americas and our transactions frequently involve our colleagues from our overseas offices.

 

In this role, you will be given the opportunity to work on a broad range of matters representing top tier clients. You will work directly with partners and your work will be high quality, interesting and challenging.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The role will involve a broad range of responsibilities including but not limited to the following:
  • Advising clients in relation to the purchase, financing, disposal and leasing of various types of commercial property including industrial, land and offices and residential property;
  • Drafting, reviewing and amending commercial leases, deeds of surrender, deeds of variation, side letters and license agreements;
  • Experience in real estate finance;
  • Other ad-hoc property related work as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

We are seeking a suitably qualified lawyer from NQ to 3 years PQE who can demonstrate the following:

  • Comfortable with all stages of commercial property transactions;
  • Exposure to related security documentation;
  • Property banking/ finance experience would be an advantage;
  • Strong academic credentials;
  • Excellent analytical, technical and drafting skills;
  • A high level of commercial and business awareness;
  • A calm and measured approach to problem solving;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Excellent communication skills; and
  • A proven track record in managing competing priorities and deadlines.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate with partners, employees and (where appropriate) with the firm's clients.

 

  • Strong research, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
