Overview of role
Office: Dublin
Hybrid: 3 days in the office per week
Based in Dublin, we are seeking a competent and enthusiastic individual to provide Business Development and Marketing support to the Walkers European offices in Dublin, London, Jersey and Guernsey. This is a particularly varied and interesting role working within a fast growing and dynamic European and Global team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- A primary function of this role will be to provide lead Business Development and Marketing support to the Finance & Capital Markets, Listings and Walkers Professional Services offerings in Dublin, as well as to the European Regulatory team based in London, Dublin, Jersey and Guernsey
- Within this role, you will also be required to work with your European team colleagues on a wide variety of projects and initiatives. These initiatives will focus on driving growth and raising profile in the domestic and international markets in which we operate.
- Another key function will be to work closely with the Dublin office Managing Partner and Senior Management to provide support and advice on relevant internal and external projects, including internal communications and cross-practice, office and external events.
- Working with the practice team leads to develop and execute business plans in line with the regional and global strategy, as well as guiding and managing the MBD budgeting process.
- Leading on Europe-wide specific events and BD activities, managing conference sponsorships, seminars, across the European region and contributing to best practice.
- Regular reporting on practice group BD efforts by tracking activity against business plans and budgets, highlighting case successes/developments, new client wins and instructions.
- Collaborating with Communications, CRM, Design and Analytical teams to ensure we are maximising our resources with regards to our BD and marketing strategy.
- Undertaking ad hoc research on markets, sectors, industries, organisations and individuals in support of European BD and Marketing.
- Project managing proposal delivery, ensuring that proposals are delivered on time and to a high quality and reporting back on results.
- Provide effective reporting with strong internal communications to convey information on the group’s BD activities.
- Work with partners and designated fee-earners on the development and production of all practice area materials in line with the brand guidelines ensuring key messages are effectively communicated.
Education, Skills and Experience
Knowledge & Expertise
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ideally knowledge of CRM systems (e.g. InterAction) and effective CRM strategy, mailing platforms (e.g. Venture), webinar platforms (e.g. On24) etc.
- Copywriting, proofreading and editing skills are also essential to this role.
Educational/Professional Qualifications Required
- Degree qualified at a minimum.
Experience Required
- Minimum four years' Business Development & Marketing experience gained in professional services. Ideally this experience will be in a legal service environment, although not essential.
- Experience working at executive or senior executive level, experience interacting with senior stakeholders.
