The Role

Location: Ireland (remote)

 

The Business Insights Team provides succinct, insightful, and rigorous analysis to enhance Walkers Professional Services' competitive position and achieve its strategic growth objectives.

The Junior Business Insights Analyst will contribute to this mission by analysing both external and internal datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.

The role offers a varied global remit, supporting the development of all our international offices, within a dynamic environment that provides an excellent opportunity for an independent worker to combine research analysis with commercial requirements.

 

Please note, this role is fully remote and the successful candidate must be residing in Ireland.

 

Core Duties

  • Market and Industry Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market and industry research, including competitor, jurisdictional, sectoral, individual, and target analysis.
  • Data Analysis: Collect, organise, and analyse data from various sources to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, and present findings in easily consumable and reliable formats.
  • Business Development Support: Support business development initiatives by providing data-driven insights for targeting and preparation. This includes creating contact lists, meeting preparation sheets, and follow-up materials that add value.
  • Project Management: Contribute to multiple research projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outputs that meet business needs.

Key Relationships

Working remotely, the Business Insights Analyst will work within the Business Insights Team and contribute to a wide range of projects. With the support of the team, they will build working relationships across the firm.

Education, Knowledge & Expertise

Educational / Professional Qualifications

  • A professional qualification or a relevant degree in Business, Information Management or Marketing.
  • Comfortable writing and creating formulas and pivot tables in Excel.
  • Experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI; other data management and visualization applications a plus.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, and Word.

 

Knowledge & Expertise

  • Ability to conduct thorough yet timely research and link findings to tangible business outcomes.
  • Creative thinker that can develop ideas and present information in an engaging and clear manner.
  • Exposure to the financial services or legal sectors and/or offshore markets would be considered advantageous.

  • Self-starter with excellent organisational, planning, and project management skills; excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.
