Job Purpose
Location: Ireland, fully remote
The Business Insights Team provides succinct, insightful, and rigorous analysis to enhance Walkers Professional Services' competitive position and achieve its strategic growth objectives.
The Junior Business Analyst will contribute to this aim by collecting and organising both external and internal data to identify trends, opportunities, and threats. They will produce charts, dashboards, slides and other content as appropriate in order to easily explain and circulate insights and conclusions.
The role offers a varied global remit, supporting the development of all our international offices, within a dynamic environment that provides an excellent opportunity for an independent worker to combine research and data analysis with commercial requirements.
Core Duties
- Data Analysis: Collect, organize, and analyse data from various sources to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, and present reliable findings in easily consumable formats.
- Market and Industry Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market and industry research, including competitor, national, sectoral, individual, and target analysis.
- Business Development Support: Support business development initiatives by providing data-driven insights such as contact lists, meeting preparation sheets, and follow-up materials that add value.
- Project Management: Contribute to multiple research projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outputs that meet business needs
Education, Skills and Experience
Knowledge & Expertise
- Ability to conduct thorough yet timely research and link findings to tangible business outcomes.
- Creative thinker that can develop ideas and present information in an engaging and clear manner.
- Experience with data management, manipulation and visualization applications such as Power BI
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Educational / Professional Qualifications
- A professional qualification or a relevant degree in Data Visualisation, Information Management or Marketing.
- Exposure to the financial services or legal sectors and/or offshore markets would be considered advantageous.
