Overview of role
Join our dynamic, growing AML compliance team and contribute to providing best-in-class, client-facing AML services. This role offers excellent opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification
- Act as MLRO/Deputy MLRO for a portfolio of client entities.
- Implement and oversee AML/CFT/APF policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the Cayman Islands AML regime.
- Advise boards of directors and clients on AML/CFT/APF matters, including presenting AMLCO reports at board meetings.
- Conduct risk-based testing of fund administrator due diligence procedures.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with competent authorities and respond to information requests.
- Investigate suspicious activity reports (SARs) and file required disclosures.
- Maintain AML/CFT/APF logs.
- Assist clients with ad-hoc requests, AML/CFT/APF audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Stay updated on AML/CFT/APF industry developments and collaborate with colleagues on regulatory changes.
- Maintain and develop strong client relationships.
- Contribute to the WCRSL client due diligence service line.
- Deliver best-in-class client service.
Education, Skills & Experience
- A professional AML compliance qualification (required within six months of employment) or a bachelor's degree from a recognized university or college.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in AML compliance or a related regulatory role within the financial services industry.
- Knowledge of the Cayman Islands AML regime, particularly in the investment fund industry.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills and willingness to train and develop junior team members.
- Ability to manage a portfolio of clients autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to continuous improvement in service delivery.
- Flexibility, professionalism, and adaptability to changing circumstances and emergencies.
