Overview of role

The Business Analyst Lead (BA Lead) is responsible for the global team of permeant and contractor Business Analyst and Business testing subject matter experts.  The BA Lead is accountable for the development of the business Analysis and Testing capability within the Transformation function; providing leadership and oversight over Business Analysis and Testing delivery practices, supporting continuous improvement of delivery standards and approaches across Transformation initiatives.  The BA Lead also plays a delivery role as an assigned BA on some initiatives and is expected to lead by example through the application of Business Analysis expertise being responsible for analysing business needs, identifying solutions, and ensuring the successful implementation of projects in partnership with key business stakeholders.  A strong focus on business and value creation is essential.

Salary Range US$110,000 - US$140,000

 

  • Provide leadership and support to a team of business analyst, ensuring appropriate planning, risk management, prioritisation and successful delivery of BA activities, with            a focus on user-centric experiences, customer journeys, market trends, and demonstrable metrics
  • Plan business analysis efforts, determine how requirements will be managed and review deliverables created by all the BAs on the team for quality and consistency
  • Build a collaborative business analysis community that encourages knowledge sharing, innovation, diverse perspectives, and constructive conflict resolution to achieve         successful outcomes.
  • Develop, improve and maintain BA and Testing capability roadmaps, ensuring processes, methodologies and tools, aligning with best practices, Transformation priorities          and needs of the wider firm
  • Define the metrics used to determine success an initiative and ensure those metrics link up to a broader strategic direction.
  • Drive continuous improvement and excellence in BA and Testing practices by fostering ownership, innovation, constructive challenge, and capability development across          the organisation.
  • Focus on delivering business outcomes and creating value for the organisation, balancing governance, process and documentation requirements with proportionate,       outcome-focused delivery approaches
  • Ensure that projects align with strategic business goals and deliver measurable benefits while continuously evaluate project impact and value to the business
  • Provide strategic business solutions to meet business need and prioritize initiatives based on business requirements
  • Proactively identify, track and share key business insights to inform the business direction by using both data analysis and business judgment
  • Utilise strong analytical skills to assess business problems and identify potential solutions
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather and document business requirements with a relentless focus on business outcomes
  • Analyse business processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions
  • Develop comprehensive benefits cases to support project proposals and to be assessed throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) including developing test plans, coordinating user participation, and follow up on bugs or issued raised to validate that the      solution meets functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Foster strong collaboration and communication across project teams, stakeholders, business leaders, and third parties to support successful project delivery.
  • Build and maintain productive working relationships, proactively resolving conflicts and promoting a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

Education, Skills & Experience

  • University degree within a related field, or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 8 years business analysis related work experience
  • Proven experience in gathering and analysing business requirements and the mapping of business processes.
  • Highly experienced with process analysis, optimisation and automation
  • Highly experienced in building business requirements, user stories
  • Strong understanding of business change principles, including the ability to align projects with business outcomes, manage stakeholder impacts, and facilitate adoption of           new processes, systems, or tools. 
  • Working knowledge of multiple project management/process improvement methodologies (philosophies, tools, and techniques)
  • Experience in delivering projects in legal or professional services firms
  • Hands-on experience with business analysis tools (e.g., MS Visio, Jira, Asana) and other tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Azure DevOps, or CRM systems.
  • Working knowledge of UX concepts, wire framing and solution design
  • Experience in collaborating with diverse teams, including clients, third-party partners, and executive stakeholders, to align objectives and drive outcomes
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data and metrics to drive business priorities and decisions
  • Experience in conducting data analysis to support decision-making and project planning.
  • Ability to develop insights and recommendations based on data findings
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Strong change management skills and the ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to be persuasive, encouraging, and motivating
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and navigate matrixed organisations
  • Strong analytic and written and oral communication skills
