Overview of role

Walkers invites applications from suitably qualified Caymanians or Residency with Employment Rights Certificate holders for the position of Client Management Administrator. 

The Client Management Administrator is a core member of the legal team providing dedicated administrative support to fee earners and secretarial staff working on certain key client relationships. The role focuses on (1) WIP management and matter lifecycle (2) billing, recovery, and reporting, (3) document production, management and organization and (4) data management and ad hoc project assistance

Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification

  • Maintain accurate and complete client and matter records.
  • Liaise closely with fee earners and secretarial staff to prepare invoices in compliance with client billing policies and procedures and managing the production of invoices in accordance with client requirements.
  • Liaison with client contacts to obtain budget approvals and E-billing IDs as necessary.
  • Ensuring the upload of final invoices to the E-billing platform, monitoring platform and receivables reports to ensure action points are addressed and resolving queries, internally and externally, around invoices.
  • Assist with periodic client-driven reporting.
  • Liaison with client contacts to resolve queries, internally and externally, around overdue invoices.
  • Manage client directives in relation to client-specific billing policies and procedures and ensuring all directives are communicated to the relevant fee earners and secretarial staff and documented appropriately.
  • Assist with the production, review, modification and organization of documentation, including maintaining precedent documents.
  • Assist with routine administrative and data management tasks as required, including assisting on legal and regulatory projects arising from time to time.

Education, Skills & Experience

  • Three to five years relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain excellent professional relationships, both internally and externally at all levels.
  • Experience with Aderant/Adex billing is essential.
  • Experience with E-billing platforms is an asset.
  • Experience within the financial or legal industry would be an asset.
  • Calm, confident manner and ability to prioritise a dynamic workload.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, progressive team.
  • Ability to interact with legal professionals and develop external client relationships.
  • Proactive mind set, ability to work under pressure, adaptability and excellent attention to detail.

Compensation Data
