Overview of role
We are looking for a talented, experienced, highly motivated and ambitious Graphic Designer/Creative Designer to join our global creative design team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for design and marketing, capable of producing innovative and visually compelling assets that align with our brand identity.
The successful candidate will be a creative thinker who can demonstrate a high level of skill across multiple platforms, with an eye for detail in visual communications and able to multitask across varied requirements for the business. You should be familiar of creative trends for financial services, bringing innovative approaches to our design capabilities and marketing. A solid understanding of brand, customer needs within a B2B sector/professional services environment, technology and design is a must.

Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification
- Conceptualising and developing visually appealing and impactful designs for marketing and business development purposes across a range of media (website and social media, print, and standalone promotional materials) including content heavy materials, branded products and gifts, videos and presentations. At Walkers we use the Adobe suite, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint and Word).
- Global ambassador for and a guardian of Walkers' Brand and visual identity, ensuring that all materials are in line with guidelines and contributing to evolving the brand identity and guidelines as needed.
- Collaborate with marketing teams, designers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives globally and then present design ideas and concepts and gain early buy-in for solutions.
- Provide mentoring and training to upskill members of the Creative Services team, as well as help improve working practices across the firm.
- Stay updated on design trends, tools, and techniques to bring innovative ideas to the team.
- Assist workflow process and ensure resources are effectively prioritised.
- Encourage inclusion and diversity in everything we do.
Education, Skills & Experience
- You will hold a minimum of 2 to 4 years' experience in a similar design role with an in-house creative team. Ideally, you will have experience of working with a law firm or in professional services environment and as part of a broader, sophisticated global marketing team.
- A degree or diploma in visual communications / graphic design or a related discipline from a recognised University or College.
- An impressive portfolio showcasing your best design work which includes impressive layout skills and examples of brand or typography projects, good technical skills and intelligent design thinking.
- A solid design portfolio showing experience in executing projects of varied sizes with visual design, brand and customer focus at the forefront.
- An outstanding knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Affects and Premier Pro.
- Strong skills and experience in Motion Graphics (Video editing) and Digital UX/UI (Adobe XD / Figma) are advantageous
- Must also be competent in Windows, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of e-marketing platforms (e.g. Vuture), web platforms (e.g. Sharepoint, and Enterprise Systems such as Sitecore or Optimizely) is desirable.
- Working knowledge in Canva is desirable.
- Strong technical skills, demonstrating video, digital and print capabilities across a range of media.
- Knowledge of new and emerging technologies within the marketing landscape.
- Evidence of creativity, vision and versatility.
- Skilled in visual design with a good sense of layout and best practices for maximum impact.
- Self-starter who can solve complex challenges with compelling visual solutions and who brings a positive energy, exceptional relationship building skills, commerciality and a consultative approach.
- Confident communicator able to influence at all levels. Comfortable in asking tough questions to help surface and challenge assumptions, and a track-record of gaining buy-in for concepts.
- Intellectually curious, with an interest in emerging technologies and best practices.
- Great organisational, planning and project management skills and proven track record of delivering projects on time.
- Strong team player with a collaborative approach.
- Excellent eye for detail, consistency, and accuracy and desire to deliver a high-quality product.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Compensation Data
Walkers offers a dynamic working environment with opportunities for career progression and an excellent remuneration package, including a discretionary performance based bonus, 5 weeks' vacation, pension and fully covered health insurance.
