Overview of role
We are looking for a talented, highly motivated and ambitious Junior Designer to join our in-house global marketing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative professional with 1–2 years of experience to develop their design skills within a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly professional environment. You’ll play a key role in supporting the firm's branding and marketing initiatives by producing compelling visuals for digital, print, video and presentation materials. Ideally, you will have prior experience of working within legal or professional services.

Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification
As a Junior Designer at Walkers, you will work across multiple creative disciplines including brochureware, proposals, advertising, social media, website design, photography, podcasting, videography, and motion graphics. Collaborating closely with a global marketing and communications team spanning the Americas, Asia, Middle East, and Europe, you will help create impactful digital and print marketing materials and end-to-end campaign designs.
You will act as a guardian and ambassador of the Walkers brand and visual identity, ensuring all creative output aligns with brand guidelines while contributing to their ongoing evolution. Using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects) and Microsoft Office tools, you will design and artwork compelling graphics for all marketing channels and events at Walkers.
Supported and mentored by a senior in-house design team, you will collaborate dynamically to manage project workflows, prioritize resources effectively, handle design escalations, and present innovative ideas to enhance and differentiate Walkers' digital and print visual assets. You’ll stay up to date with design trends and tools to continuously bring fresh, creative solutions to the team, working alongside motivated colleagues worldwide in a supportive, growth-focused environment
Education, Skills & Experience
- A degree or diploma in Visual Communications / Graphic Design or a related discipline from a recognised University or College.
- An impressive portfolio showcasing your best design work which includes impressive layout skills and examples of brand or typography projects, good technical skills and intelligent design thinking.
- You will hold a minimum of 1 to 2 years' experience in a similar design role with an in-house creative team. Ideally, you will have experience of working with a law firm or in professional services environment and as part of a broader, sophisticated global marketing team.
- A strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Affects and Premier Pro.
- Strong skills and experience in Motion Graphics (Video editing) and Canva is advantageous
- Must also be competent in Windows, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook. (We are a Microsoft-based environment)
- Knowledge of e-marketing platforms (e.g. Vuture), web platforms (e.g. SharePoint, and Enterprise Systems such as Sitecore or Optimizely) is desirable.
- Strong technical skills, demonstrating video, digital and print capabilities across a range of media.
- Familiarity with digital and print production processes.
- Good design skills with a strong understanding of what is technically feasible across multiple platforms and a user-centric approach to digital design, combining photography, videography and motion graphics to help create interactive stories.
- A natural flair for creativity and generating new ideas and an instinctive mind for layout and an eye for detail.
- Intellectually curious, lateral thinker, proactive and resourceful with a desire to deliver a high-quality work product.
- A resilient, positive outlook and not easily fazed by competing demands.

Compensation Data
Walkers offers a dynamic working environment with opportunities for career progression and an excellent remuneration package, including a discretionary performance based bonus, 5 weeks' vacation, pension and fully covered health insurance. Remuneration commensurate with qualifications and experience.
