Overview of role
Walkers invites applications from suitably qualified Caymanians or Residents with Employment Rights only for the Marketing and Business Development Manager (Americas) position.
This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketing and business development professional to play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth across the Americas region. The successful candidate will work closely with partners and senior stakeholders to design and execute strategic business development plans, identify new client opportunities, and deliver integrated marketing initiatives that support the firm’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of the business strategies of assigned practices, products, partners and offices, and contribute to the design and execution of targeted BD plans.
- Conduct in-depth market and competitor research to identify growth opportunities and provide actionable insights to partners.
- Collaborate with partners and the Director of Marketing, BD and Communications (Americas) to build and execute annual BD plans, track KPIs and evaluate ROI.
- Lead the development of client-centric initiatives including lead generation campaigns, pitch documents, RFP responses and pricing proposals.
- Manage pre- and post-event planning for marketing trips, conferences and client events, including ROI reporting.
- Support cross-selling efforts by identifying practice synergies and client overlaps.
- Deliver and manage internal BD initiatives, including project roadmaps, KPI reporting and ROI analysis.
- Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and development opportunities.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated marketing and BD initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or Law (required).
- 5–7+ years’ experience in business development or consulting, ideally within professional services or the legal sector.
- At least 2 years in a managerial role with people or project leadership responsibilities.
- Proven track record in leading BD plans, managing pitches, and reporting on ROI.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms (e.g., InterAction); working knowledge of SharePoint, Teams, and Power BI.

- Leadership: Experience coaching and developing team members and contributing to a positive team culture.
- Adaptability: Performs effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Initiative: Self-motivated, proactive, and solutions-focused with a strong drive to deliver results.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work beyond core hours and travel as required to support business needs.
