Overview of role
Walkers is seeking a dedicated and professional individual to join our Private Capital & Trusts practice group as a Private Capital & Trusts Executive. This is a great opportunity for someone with a proactive attitude and strong organizational skills to build a career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification
As a Private Capital & Trusts Executive, you'll be an essential part of our team, providing administrative and technical support. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the preparation of initial drafts of legal documents and correspondence.
- Preparing and executing necessary filings with the Registrar of Trusts and the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, including filings through the REEFS portal.
- Assisting in the preparation and filing of legal documents for probate applications, including court filings.
- Coordinating cheque requests with the firm's accounts department for client matters.
- Supporting the legal team in preparing retainer invoices and managing monthly billing.
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records and correspondence files for client matters.
- Liaising with clients as directed by attorneys, ensuring professional and timely communication.
- Managing and monitoring "to-do" lists for high-volume clients to ensure timely task completion.
- Undertaking special projects and administrative tasks as directed by the legal team.
Education, Skills & Experience
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who is eager to learn and grow.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in an administrative or legal support role within legal, financial or professional services.
- Experience or familiarity with legal or corporate documents is highly desirable.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- A proactive, enthusiastic, and professional approach to all tasks.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
