Overview of role
Walkers invites applications from suitably qualified Caymanians or Residents with Employment Rights only for the Vice President - Project & Product Management position.
The Vice President – Project & Product Management (“VP”) is responsible for leading the planning, development, and delivery of products and projects that drive business value across the various service lines of Walkers Professional Services (“WPS”). This role integrates project management disciplines with process optimisation, change management coordination, and automation initiatives that enhance service offerings. The VP will work cross-functionally with stakeholders across business, information technology, and operations to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory obligations.
Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification
- Act as the primary point of contact between service lines, the Digital Delivery team, and wider IT functions to define, plan, and manage the end-to-end delivery of strategic projects, including timelines, resources, and risk.
- Collaborate with the Director, Corporate Services Operations, the Head of Digital Delivery, and delivery leads to guide product strategy and stakeholder engagement, enabling the growth and change agenda of WPS and IT.
- Lead the project portfolio in collaboration with delivery leads to ensure seamless execution using agile methodologies and best practices.
- Track progress and report status, risks, and dependencies to senior stakeholders.
- Define and prioritise the portfolio roadmap, strategy, and lifecycle, empowering individual product roadmaps based on customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.

- Act as the WPS custodian of product development, coaching and developing product owners and leading the product management function.
- Proactively engage business stakeholders when key decisions are required to remove roadblocks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product owners, scrum masters, analysts, developers, etc.) to deliver high-quality products and value.
- Collect and analyse feedback, metrics, and market trends to inform product improvements.
- Work with the Director, Corporate Services Operations and WPS service lines to monitor objectives related to system utilisation and efficiency, providing feedback to relevant stakeholders on KPIs.
- Develop a framework to engage WPS support teams to manage client requests for automation and data sharing.
- Conduct ongoing reviews of data accuracy and resolve issues where data is exchanged between business units, Walkers Group entities (law firm, WPS departments, Compliance), and external regulators, corporate registries, and competent authorities.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes, ensuring that any updates are formalised into project plans to implement necessary process, policy, or system changes.
- Identify opportunities to enhance workflows and processes across WPS locations and leverage best practices from other jurisdictions.
- Engage with Data Governance and technical teams to optimise technology use for efficiency and client solutions.
- Undertake other ad hoc projects within WPS as required.
Education, Skills & Experience
- A proven track record of success with a minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in a similar role, implementing systems-enabled change, managing risk, and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Strong project management experience, including deployment of methodologies such as PMLC, SAFe, and Scrum.
- In-depth understanding of financial, business, and people management gained from experience.
- Experience and knowledge gained within a CSP of operational risk assessment and mitigation.
- Knowledge of Cayman Islands laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and assess the impact of decisions on a business.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and decision-making abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrable ability to multi-task in a fast-paced results-oriented environment
- Possess a track-record of delivering in a flexible, proactive and solutions-driven manner
- Experience will evidence a strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team environment.
Compensation Data
Walkers offers a dynamic working environment with opportunities for career progression and an excellent remuneration package, including a discretionary performance-based bonus, pension and fully covered health insurance for employees and 5 weeks' vacation. Remuneration will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
