Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification
Senior AML Analyst
AML Services
Salary Range US$75,000 – US$95,000
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to join our AML Services team. In this role, you will support the delivery of AML, Counter Terrorist Financing and Anti-Proliferation Financing (AML/CFT/APF) services, with responsibility for managing the client onboarding and termination process and ensuring compliance with the Cayman Islands AML regime. You will work closely with AML Officers to implement and oversee policies and procedures, maintain AML records and data repositories, and assist with the preparation of AML Compliance Officer reports.
You will play a key role in supporting risk-based periodic testing of fund administrator due diligence procedures, monitoring and remediating AML Services inbox queries, and assisting with independent AML audits and client due diligence programmes. The role also involves staying informed of industry developments, supporting billing processes, and promoting best-in-class client service delivery in line with WPS standards.
In addition, you will contribute to internal projects, support process improvements, and assist in training and mentoring junior team members, helping to strengthen the overall effectiveness and quality of AML Services delivery.
Education, Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the financial services industry; AML experience is an asset
- Knowledge of the Cayman Islands AML regime, with a focus on the investment fund industry
- Strong understanding of AML/CFT/APF compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to make sound, independent decisions
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Leadership potential, with experience in mentoring or supporting junior staff considered an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
