Overview of role

The Executive will work closely with the Marketing & BD Manager for Walkers Professional Services to advance the growth ambition of the business.  Working internationally the role will coordinate efforts to drive new client acquisition, strengthen business relationships, enhance competitive positioning, and contribute to revenue and market share growth of our professional services business specifically, and the wider firm.

Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification

  • Assist in the development and implementation of BD and Marketing plans across our service lines, under the guidance of the Marketing & BD Manager.
  • Execute planning and support for strategic business development trips, encompassing conference and event coordination to align with the overall business objectives.
  • Input into the creation/ongoing development of effective targeting lists for each of the service lines using the firm's CRM and marketing tools.
  • Support relationship management and new revenue generation strategies, pipeline reviews, performance reports and ongoing database maintenance and analysis.
  • Support the development and execution of B2B marketing campaigns focused on lead generation and client acquisition across our CRM platform, website and wider marketing channels.
  • Collaborate with the wider global marketing and business development teams to execute cross-selling initiatives, share best practices and ensure there is consistency and coordination across all business development and marketing efforts.
  • Drive the development and maintenance of a comprehensive suite of marketing collateral differentiate the firm's offering.
  • Assist with the creation of compelling pitch documents and an efficient pitch process commensurate with the value of the business opportunity.
  • Drafting monthly marketing reports to measure performance of marketing and BD activities, providing insights to refine strategies and improve outcomes.

Education, Skills & Experience

  • A bachelor's degree from a recognised university, ideally in a marketing, business, or communications, is essential.
  • A minimum of three years of marketing and/or business development experience, ideally within the finance or professional services sector. Experience in a law firm is desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite is essential. Knowledge of CRM tools (eg InterAction) and data analytics and visualisation tools (eg PowerBI) to track performance and drive decision making.
  • Knowledge of mailing platforms (eg Vuture) and pitch creation tools (eg PitchPerfect) is desirable.
  • Knowledge of website content management systems (CMS) and digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Google AdWords, and search engine optimization (SEO) is preferred. Proven experience in online marketing, preferably in a B2B environment.
