Overview of role

In addition to managing a client portfolio, the Vice President is responsible for overseeing a team of professionals and ensuring the timely, accurate and efficient completion of client duties.

Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification

  • Responsible for assisting with day-to-day management of a team
  • Providing company secretarial services and support services to clients which cover the:
    • Creation of agendas, collation and distribution of meeting packs and liaising with relevant service providers;
    • Management of board, advisory and shareholder meetings including acting as company secretary for purposes of taking meeting minutes;
    • Preparation of detailed meeting minutes, distribution of board minutes, arranging for the sign-off of minutes and carrying out any post meeting actions as required.
  • Act as primary point of contact for portfolio of entities
  • Dealing with correspondence and administrative matters on a wide range of issues from attorneys, clients and external service providers
  • Invoicing and AR management
  • Work with senior management to develop and enhance the service line offering
  • Assign and oversee project work
  • Oversee and improve day to day systems and processes
  • Able to work flexible hours, and outside of normal business hours (including to travel) as needed within the board meeting support service line
  • Other ad hoc projects as maybe required within WPS from time to time.

Education, Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in law, business or languages or equivalent professional qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in the financial services industry and/or professional practice
  • Possess strong knowledge of the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority's Statement of Guidance, Corporate Governance, Mutual Funds and Private Funds
  • Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of key business processes, and regulatory framework in which the business operates in order to maximize value in the management of clients/the business;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills;
  • Strong understanding of Cayman regulatory landscape
  • Exceptional relationship management and interpersonal skills
  • 3+ years Experience managing AR
  • Strong leadership skills, self-motivated, ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Effective staff and management communication skills

 

Walkers Professional Services offers a dynamic working environment with opportunities for career progression and an excellent remuneration package, including a discretionary performance based bonus, pension and fully covered health insurance for employees and 5 weeks' vacation. Remuneration commensurate with qualifications and experience and will be in the region of US$120,000.00 to US$135,000.00
