Overview of role
The Vice President – Operations (“VP”) is responsible for planning, directing, and leading all aspects of WCL’s Corporate Services data processes, change management reviews, and automation initiatives impacting corporate service offerings. The VP will work closely with the Director of Corporate Services to define, implement, and optimise strategies and workflows that enhance internal operations and deliver efficiencies for both teams and clients.
Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification
Act as the primary point of contact for key projects impacting the Corporate team across multiple jurisdictions, including Cayman, Dubai, and Hong Kong. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Monitoring and responding to regulatory requests
- Managing exception reporting, including change management reviews, ongoing monitoring, and resolution of exceptions and data issues
- Assisting with Power BI change management reviews, ongoing monitoring, and staff training as required, ensuring timely resolution of issues
- Managing and monitoring penalty reports through to completion
- Collaborating with IT to automate system processes in ViewPoint
- Monitoring ongoing updates of WNL shareholding
- Proactively managing ViewPoint updates for departed staff
- Develop a framework to engage with WPS support teams to manage client requests for automation and data sharing
- Work with the Director of Corporate Services and the Data Governance team to foster a high-performance culture across the Corporate team
- Ensure internal data integrity and compliance with policies and procedures
- Assist in designing, implementing, and overseeing internal processes, controls, and quality assurance checks
- Contribute to the preparation of annual and long-term business plans
- Collaborate with WPS service lines to ensure quality data standards are upheld to minimise business risk
- Serve as the point of contact for the Risk Assurance Lead
- Lead or assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as required
- Provide Microsoft Excel training to the corporate administration team
- Ensure escalated customer complaints are prioritised and resolved in line with business needs
- Support the delivery of excellent client service across the Walkers global enterprise
- Champion change and automation by reducing redundant workloads and promoting collaboration to implement and maintain operational efficiencies
- Conduct ongoing reviews of data accuracy and resolve issues where data is exchanged between business units, teams, regulators, corporate registries, and competent authorities
- Monitor objectives related to system utilisation and efficiency, providing feedback to stakeholders on KPIs
- Stay abreast of legislative and regulatory changes, ensuring these are incorporated into project plans for process, policy, or system updates
- Engage with internal stakeholders to identify and implement workflow improvements across WCL locations, leveraging best practices from other jurisdictions
- Partner with Data Governance and IT to optimise technology use for efficiency and client solutions
- Perform any other duties commensurate with the role, including occasional work outside standard hours and maintaining flexibility
Education, Skills & Experience
- Professional qualification or relevant degree in business, law, or finance
- A minimum of six years’ relevant experience in a similar role, with a proven track record in implementing change, managing risk, and developing a high-performance culture within a f
- Strong understanding of financial, business, and people management
- Knowledge of Cayman Islands laws and regulations is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and assess the impact of decisions on the firm
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Strong organisational, analytical, and decision-making abilities, with exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Risk management approach aligned with WPS policies
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively
