Overview of role
Office: Guernsey (on-site with the ability to WFH 1 day per week following probation)
Hours: Full-Time
The Legal Secretary will provide excellent secretarial support to the Employment Team, including assisting with the preparation of legal documents, correspondence, file management and client billing.
Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification
- Answer incoming calls and maintain rapid response to all enquiries;
- Maintain accurate records and correspondence files in relation to client matters
- Liaise clients as appropriate and in accordance with given instructions
- Creating, editing, amending and storing of correspondence and documents in the Firm's document management system
- Responding to internal and external inquiries in a professional and polite manner
- Photocopying and scanning of documents and correspondence
- Arranging meetings and diary management
- Arranging travel as required
- Arranging the opening, closing and archiving of accounts and files
- Maintain accurate records and correspondence files in relation to client files
- Carry out any other duties commensurate with the purpose of the job.
Education, Skills & Experience
- High level of accuracy
- Manage a complex and demanding workload and prioritise tasks and projects to meet work standards and personal performance targets
- Tact and diplomacy to deal with confidential matters
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Work in a flexible manner and respond to changing circumstances
