Overview of role

Based in Walkers' Jersey office we are seeking a competent and enthusiastic individual to provide marketing and event management support to the Walkers Channel Islands offices. This is a particularly varied and interesting role working with a fast growing and dynamic team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic self–starter with good administrative, interpersonal and organisational skills.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • A competent and experienced individual with good local knowledge of the Jersey and Guernsey markets.
  • Ideally from a law firm or professional services background which has a presence in each of Jersey and Guernsey.
  • Ideally with experience in co-ordinating marketing and events activity in the Channel Islands

Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification

  • To provide marketing and event support, predominantly to the Jersey office, but also working alongside the team to support the wider European offices (London, Jersey, Dublin)
  • To work with the BD, Marketing and Communications team to support a very active virtual and physical events programme across the European region.
  • Working with the European BD team to support all elements of both the in person and virtual BD, marketing and communications mix.
  • Working with the team to provide business development and marketing support to the business involving
  • Research and analysis ahead of business development meetings
  • Supporting our awards and directories processes
  • Working with the Creative Services team to draft and create marketing materials and literature, as well as digital media.
  • Working with the regional communications team to help drive strategic digital content to clients and targets.
  • Helping with the production of regular schedules and updates to the business

  • Global business development - Cayman Islands, Middle East and Asia

Education, Skills & Experience

  • A confident, enthusiastic individual with previous events and marketing experience
  • A team player capable of building good working relationships
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines
  • An advanced Word user, proficient in Excel and PowerPoint presentations
