Overview of role

Are you an experienced Analyst or Scrum Master looking to make a significant impact within a dynamic legal and professional services environment? Walkers is seeking a talented individual to join our agile and lean portfolio management practice within Digital Delivery. This is an exciting six-month contract opportunity, with the potential for extension based on demand and performance, where you'll play a pivotal role in driving efficient and effective project delivery. Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification

  • Drive delivery in one or a maximum of two (backlog dependent) agile squads using prescribed agile methodologies and frameworks.
  • Help the product owner as a proxy product owner and cross-functional teams to identify business value, understand process, value stream, and deliver benefit to the end-user.
  • Lead the scrum and development teams in self-organization, promoting autonomy and teamwork.
  • Remove impediments and coach the scrum team/s to identify and remove impediments.
  • Practice servant leadership, resolve conflicts and issues that occur, and create a psychologically safe space that allows the team/s to innovate and fail fast.
  • Work alongside the Delivery Lead/s to evolve the agile organization.
  • Form part of the Agile COP and contribute positively to best practice, improvements, and mentoring.
  • Deliver squad level reporting and manage events and engagements, as well as work with leadership to educate and establish portfolio level agile reporting.
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, and decisions, removing roadblocks to ensure continued flow.
  • Engage stakeholders and product management where applicable and manage the delivery.

Education, Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years proven analyst experience that has worked in an agile organization (SAFE & Scrum or Design Thinking experience is advantageous).
  • Certified Business Analyst (IIBA / BABoK) or a Green Belt Six Sigma certification is a must.
  • Alternatively, a certified Scrum Master (CSM) accreditation or Product Owner (POPM) is a must.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT / Technology / Computer Science is advantageous.
  • Alternatively 5+ years scrum master or agile project management experience (SAFE & Scrum or Design Thinking experience is advantageous).
  • DevOps / Release management, working with architects, developers, and QA knowledge and experience is essential.
  • Developer and/or any SDLC type experience is advantageous as well.
  • Experience in planning and coordinating teams to delivery as well as helping with requirements gathering, process mapping, and business solutioning.
