Overview of role

This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract required; available in either our London or Dublin office (hybrid working applies)

The Business Analyst is responsible for analysing business needs, identifying solutions, and ensuring the successful implementation of projects in partnership with key business stakeholders. The role involves gathering requirements, analysing data, mapping & designing business processes and creating business cases. A strong focus on business outcomes and value creation is essential.

 

Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification

Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather and document business requirements with a relentless focus on business outcomes.

 

Business Process Mapping and Analysis:

• Conduct business process mapping to understand current processes and identify areas for improvement in future-state processes.

• Analyse business processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions.

 

Change Management:

• Lead on change management impact assessments to understand the effects of proposed changes.

• Develop comprehensive change management plans to ensure smooth transitions.

• Lead the planning and execution of project communications to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged.

 

Business Case Creation:

• Develop comprehensive business cases to support project proposals.

• Present business cases to stakeholders for approval.

 

User Acceptance Testing (UAT):

• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) including developing test plans, coordinating user participation, and follow up on bugs or issued raised to validate that the solution meets functional and non-functional requirements.

• Ensure traceability of testing artifacts to business requirements.

 

 

 

 

Analytics and Problem-Solving:

• Utilize strong analytical skills to assess business problems and identify potential solutions.

• Conduct data analysis to support decision-making and project planning.

• Develop insights and recommendations based on data findings.

 

Business Outcomes and Value Creation:

• Focus on delivering business outcomes and creating value for the organization.

• Ensure that projects align with strategic business goals and deliver measurable benefits.

• Continuously evaluate project impact and value to the business.

 

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with project teams to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.

• Coordinate across internal teams and third parties to ensure successful project delivery.

• Resolve conflicts and foster a productive team environment.

 

Education, Skills & Experience

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Certifications: CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent certification preferred

 

Business Analysis Expertise:

  • Proven experience in gathering and analysing business requirements and the mapping of business processes.
  • Strong understanding of business change principles, including the ability to align projects with business outcomes, manage stakeholder impacts, and facilitate adoption of new processes, systems, or tools.

 

Industry Knowledge:

  • Experience in delivering projects in legal or professional services firms desirable.

 

Technology Proficiency:

  • Hands-on experience with business analysis tools (e.g., MS Visio, Jira, Asana) and other tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Azure DevOps, or CRM systems.

 

Stakeholder Management:

  • Strong analytical skills to assess business problems and identify potential solutions.
  • Experience in conducting data analysis to support decision-making and project planning.
  • Ability to develop insights and recommendations based on data findings.
