Overview of role

Office: London (50% hybrid required as a min)

 

Walkers is offering a unique opportunity to an ambitious and high performing Business Continuity Analyst. 

This role will be based in the Firm's London office, joining the Business Continuity Team within the Office of General Counsel. 

The successful candidate must have experience in BCM practices and exposure to resilience planning for various scenarios such as cyber threats, extreme weather events, natural disasters and technology concerns. A strong interest in natural disasters, regulatory and geo-political changes would be advantageous 

Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification

  • Support all aspects of the development and embedding of the Walkers Business Continuity programme on a global scale throughout Walkers' offices
  • Ensure documentation remains valid and up to date through the Business Continuity lifecycle, such as:
  • Assist with the maintenance and enhancement of the Business Continuity Plans and all associated documentation
  • Maintain and keep up to date the firm's Business Impact Analysis documentation set
  • Work to ensure the Crisis Management plan and procedures remains up to date
  • Check for consistency across our firm's various incident plans and frameworks 
  • Guide teams through completing and renewing the BIA documentation, and drive collaborative discussions pertaining to our resilience 
  • Help to coordinate, support, and draft reports for the various Business Continuity exercises that take place throughout the year
  • Track progress of all Business Continuity related findings, non-conformities, recommendations and actions through to completion
  • Support implementation and on-going administration of the global emergency communications tool for internal business use
  • Administer the BCM SharePoint site, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date for all offices and staff members to access important information
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Business Continuity Coordinators, and Business Continuity Plan Owners and colleagues across the organisation
  • Support development of staff training and awareness of Business Continuity in all offices for existing and new staff
  • Work with learning teams to build and maintain BCM learning module for the internal online learning platform
  • Engage in BCM activities relating to Disaster Recovery exercises 
  • Provide information when requested to other functions such as Information Security, Legal Counsel, Compliance etc 
  • Provide support to guide the organisation through a disruption, and promptly respond to staff concerns
  • Represent the BCM team as a centre of excellence and SME within the organisation

Key Skills And Qualifications

  • CBCI certification or equivalent 
  • Soe experience in business continuity management 
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of resilience practices 
  • Demonstrate strong interest in the subject matter 
  • Working knowledge of ISO 22301, 27001 and 22361 
  • Exposure to disruptive events 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Keen attention to detail 
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills 
  • Demonstrate experience in team work and collaboration 
  • Ability to work sensitively and professionally with colleagues across all offices, with empathy for local business continuity needs and priorities 
  • Ability to work independently and proactively 
  • Exposure to working with third parties such as suppliers and regulators
