Overview of role
Office: LONDON (50% hybrid requirement as a min)
The Head of Organisational Change Management will enable the successful delivery and sustained adoption of Walkers' business transformation priorities. As the lead change management professional in the Walkers Transformation function, the role will be responsible for the development and oversight of a portfolio of change initiatives across Walkers, working closely with the Chief Transformation Officer and direct reports, as well as business leadership across Walkers.
This pivotal role will guide and support our organisation through a variety of change initiatives, ensuring seamless transitions and the successful adoption of new processes, technologies and organisational changes. The role will lead the design and implementation of a comprehensive organisational change strategy, supported by a team they will build and develop. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants across Walkers offices globally. The role will also drive the continuous development of organisational change capabilities and tools at Walkers.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in change management, preferably with experience of programmes that involved significant operating model changes. They will have experience of working closely with senior leaders to help shape the change, and therefore will have excellent interpersonal and communications skills. They will have a strong understanding of the principals of business analysis, including requirements definition, process design, business case definition and value measurement. They will possess a positive ‘can do’ attitude and will be comfortable working as a team to drive complex change across a global organisation.
Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
Strategy & Planning
- Develop an organisational change strategy aligned to the Walkers transformation roadmap
- Lead global delivery of work to manage the impacts of transformation initiatives to people and their ways of working
- Partner with stakeholders across the group to identify opportunities, scope requirements and influence change across the organisation
- Lead the design and delivery of both complex transformation and local level change activities across the portfolio
- Contribute to the development of scope, goals, critical success factors and deliverables for key programmes of work
- Identify potential risks and resistance points, developing and implementing mitigation strategies
Capability Development
- Build, lead and motivate the change management capability across Walkers
- Develop best practices and tools for change management and business analysis
- Monitor and measure the impact and effectiveness of change activities, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging feedback to refine change management practices
Communications & Stakeholder Engagement
- Support the adoption and execution of key programmes by providing change management and communications guidance and support
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication and stakeholder engagement plans to inform, educate, and engage, tailored to different audiences, in partnership with the communications function
- Identify and engage with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment and support throughout the change process
- Collaborate and co-ordinate with leadership and other programmes to ensure consistency and alignment of key messages across the transformation portfolio
Change Readiness & Adoption
- Conduct change impact assessments to understand initiative impacts on business processes, systems and staff
- Identify, evaluate and ensure the change readiness across programmes
- Identify transformation initiative related training and development requirements and oversee the creation of delivery of suitable materials
- Design and implement post-implementation support and adoption strategies to ensure changes are embedded
Operational Management -
- Support and input into planning activities, maintain plans, RAIDs and budget as required
- Develop full-scale change management plans and associated communications documents
Education, Skills & Experience
EXPERIENCE
- Proven direct work experience in change management, business analysis, organisational design, and communications and stakeholder engagement, in a professional services environment
- Experience of working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Experience of remote management of project resources allocated by the line organisation
- A solid understanding of operating model design and how this impacts people
- Leading cultural change, alongside process and technological advances
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop data-driven insights and recommendations
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organisational Development, or a related field
- PROSCI or equivalent change management certification is desirable

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Global business may require audio or video conferencing outside of normal business hours
- Some travel may be required
