Overview of role

THE ROLE

This is a varied role, sitting in the firm's global Office of the General Counsel, encompassing in-house legal and risk work.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Reviewing and negotiating client terms.
  2. Supporting on global projects, including developing and improving our suite of engagement documents.
  3. Reviewing and negotiating third party supplier contracts.
  4. Drafting and reviewing and NDAs and other contractual documents.
  5. Drafting and maintaining internal business management agreements.
  6. Reviewing and maintaining the firm's Data Protection framework.
  7. Reviewing Data Protection Agreements.
  8. Drafting Data Protection Impact Assessments.
  9. Advising on Data Protection issues.
  10. Supporting on DSARs.
  11. Advising on legal and regulatory issues.
  12. Monitoring legal and regulatory updates.
  13. Drafting and updating business protection policies and procedures.
  14. Creating and delivering training.
  15. Supporting on business protection matters such as client driven due diligence and vendor management.
  16. Working in close collaboration with the firm's global Compliance Team

Education, Skills & Experience

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Qualified lawyer, preferably with some experience in legal practice and/or in a risk management role.
  • Data protection knowledge/experience preferred, but not required.
  • Commercial contracts experience preferred
  • Experience working in an international law firm preferred.
