Overview of role
Office: London (50% hybrid)
THE ROLE
This a varied role, sitting in the firm's global Risk and In-House Legal function, encompassing legal, regulatory and operational risk work. The role will act as key support to the firm's General Counsel, Head of In-House Legal and the wider team.
The In-House Legal Team is expanding in size and remit, so this is an opportunity to play an important part in supporting an evolving function and the wider firm's business initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supporting on business protection matters such as client driven due diligence and vendor management.
- Supporting the firm's General Counsel and Head of In-House Legal on the firm's global insurance programme, including Professional Indemnity and Cyber policy renewals.
- Assisting on contract management.
- Supporting on updates to policies and procedures.
- Supporting on global risk projects.
- Supporting on register maintenance.
- Assisting with responses to Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs).
- Undertaking regulatory research tasks.
- Preparing memos on legal and regulatory updates.
- Arranging and drafting minutes for departmental meetings.
Education, Skills & Experience
- Law degree preferable.
- Experience in an international law firm preferable but not required.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- High level of professional competence, rigour and judgment.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Confident and credible when dealing with internal stakeholders.
- Take ownership of matters and pro-active in finding solutions.
