Overview of role

The Senior Regulatory Compliance Analyst supports the delivery of the firm’s regulatory compliance framework by contributing to regulatory reporting, governance activities, and compliance documentation across all jurisdictions in which the firm operates.

 

The role plays a key part in preparing regulatory returns, maintaining compliance policies and procedures, and supporting the production of Board and Committee reporting. The Senior Regulatory Compliance Analyst also supports the operation of the AMLCO governance framework by assisting with coordination, documentation, consistency of reporting and cross‑jurisdictional alignment.

 

This role works closely with the Senior Manager – Regulatory Compliance and collaborates with the Financial Crime, Internal Monitoring, Compliance Monitoring, Relationship Management, Quality Assurance and Systems & Records teams to ensure accurate, complete and timely compliance outputs.

 

Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification

Regulatory Returns & Submissions

  • Assist in the preparation, review and submission of regulatory returns, notifications and periodic filings across jurisdictions.
  • Ensure data used in regulatory submissions is accurate, complete and appropriately evidenced.
  • Maintain records, logs and audit trails for regulatory filings in line with governance requirements.
  • Escalate issues, inconsistencies or risks identified during preparation to the Senior Manager.

 

2. Policies & Procedures Maintenance

  • Support the maintenance, review and updating of regulatory compliance policies and procedures.
  • Ensure documents are current, version‑controlled, appropriately approved and stored.
  • Assist with coordinating stakeholder input into policy updates where required.

 

3. Board & Committee Reporting Support

  • Assist in the preparation of compliance‑related Board and Committee reports.
  • Compile data, narrative and metrics from multiple sources into structured reporting outputs.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure reports are clear, accurate and consistent with governance standards.

 

4. Cross‑Functional Information Collection

  • Collect and consolidate compliance‑related information from:
    • Financial Crime team
    • Internal Monitoring team
    • Compliance Monitoring team
    • Relationship Management (RM) team
    • Quality Assurance (QA) team
    • Systems and records‑keeping teams
  • Support the Senior Manager in ensuring inputs are complete, timely and suitable for governance and regulatory reporting.

 

5. AMLCO Governance Framework Support

  • Support the operation of the AMLCO governance framework across all jurisdictions.
  • Assist with maintaining AMLCO governance documentation, templates, reporting formats and guidance materials.
  • Support coordination between jurisdictional AMLCOs by collating updates, tracking reporting deliverables and identifying themes or issues.
  • Help ensure consistency in AMLCO reporting and governance outputs across locations.

 

6. Remediation & Governance Tracking

  • Support tracking of remediation actions, internal audit findings and governance action points.
  • Maintain action trackers and provide updates to the Senior Manager on progress and overdue items.
  • Assist with preparing summary reporting for escalation where required.

 

7. General Compliance Support

  • Support ad‑hoc compliance projects, regulatory change initiatives and governance reviews as directed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of compliance processes, templates and reporting tools.

Education, Skills & Experience

Regulatory & Compliance Experience

  • Experience working in a regulatory compliance, governance or risk function within a regulated financial services, fiduciary or TCSP environment.
  • Exposure to regulatory reporting, regulatory returns or compliance governance activities.
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of AML/CFT obligations and the role of AMLCOs within regulated businesses.

 

Governance & Reporting Skills

  • Experience supporting Board or Committee reporting processes.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage complex information sets.
  • Ability to follow governance frameworks, documentation standards and approval processes.

 

Stakeholder & Coordination Skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Confidence in requesting, following up and challenging information to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to structure information clearly.

 

Professional & Organisational Skills

  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership over assigned deliverables.
  • Willingness to develop regulatory knowledge and technical expertise.

 

Qualifications

  • Relevant compliance, regulatory, governance or legal qualifications (e.g. ICA, ACAMS, or equivalent) desirable.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development in regulatory compliance.
