Overview of role
Office: London (hybrid)
The ServiceNow Product Owner is responsible for the strategy and development of the ServiceNow Platform. This role is responsible for driving knowledge of the ServiceNow Platform to the different business functions to ensure that all of the ServiceNow capability is understood by the business, thus allowing for more key business processes to be potentially delivered across the platform.
The role will be responsible for building and owning the short, medium, and long term roadmaps for ServiceNow and will ensure that it is aligned to the business vision and strategy. The role will also ensure that IT Service Management processes are underpinned by the ServiceNow Platform and the right IT teams are engaged along the evolution the platform.
Working closely with the Global Technology Services Director and the Chief Transformation Officer this role will ensure the right governance frameworks are in place to ensure that both the operations and transformations of strategic solutions are aligned and compliment the business needs.
In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring the ServiceNow Platform has the right support model in place and that all development and enhancements to the platform goes through the right governance framework and delivered in a controlled manner.
Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification
- Interfacing with the business area leadership teams to understand the internal business requirements to deliver and meet the needs of the Business today and in the future.
- Provide strategic leadership and support for the ServiceNow platform that has ambitious long-term plans for growth in a complex environment.
- Responsible for building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enable alignment and collaboration to define and execute on the ServiceNow strategic vision.
- Work with key IT and departmental stakeholders to drive improvements in process optimisation and productivity using automation.
- Act as SME representing Walkers IT for Vendor engagements of future version upgrades and implementations.
- Provide technical and support driven solution & product documentation.
- Lead all implementations ensuring projects are executed within the agreed governance framework.
- Work closely with Business area Leadership to understand the internal business strategies and initiatives.
- As a supporting member of the IT Leadership team, inputs to IT strategy and roadmap ensuring the business requirements are understood and factored.
- Input into development strategies and frameworks based on an in depth understanding of business requirements.
- Support and inspire a diverse global teams across both technology & business professionals.
- Responsible for maintaining strategic relationships with key IT product and services providers and lead on any vendor sourcing for large scale change projects (e.g. new modules on the ServiceNow Platform).
- Carry out any other duties or tasks commensurate with the role.
Education, Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role working across large cross-functional teams / in a matrixed environment.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering transformational change of the ServiceNow Platform into complex organisations.
- Proven project and programme management skills and experience within the SaaS implementation and delivery space.
- Extensive experience in Stakeholder engagement and management within an implementation programme environment.
- Experience in applying process improvement & design factors.
- Well-developed business and requirements analysis skills, including excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and stakeholder management
- Experience in working within Legal IT or alternative professional services organisations, advantageous.
