Overview of role
Office: London (office based 4 days per week with some flexibility)
Based in London, the Vice President is responsible for relationship building and maintenance amongst WPS' London clients, Walkers law firm and external intermediaries, maximising new business opportunities and such other ad hoc responsibilities as WPS Senior Management shall from time to time determine.
The Vice President is tasked with meeting the defined objectives of WPS, including client engagement, market expansion and improving the client experience and, being a true Ambassador for WPS, both internally and externally. The Vice President shall also support the Client Relationship Programme in London.
Duties, Responsibilities & Person Specification
- Be the WPS central point of contact for Europe (primarily London) in terms of new business enquiries, including initial KYC compliance and service onboarding
- Drive broader education on WPS service capabilities and value (including in other jurisdictions), both internally and externally
- Build relationships across Walkers law firm practice groups, with a view to expanding WPS service lines across their new oppportunities
- Personally manage and be the main point of contact for new business opportunities and pro-actively develop and win new relationships
- Act as escalation point / problem solver between London clients, Walkers law firm and WPS internal teams
- Maintain close working relationships with all key stakeholders including WPS leadership, WPS clients, Walkers law firm and key support functions across Walkers
- Act as a key intermediary between WPS and Walkers law firm and their existing and future clients
- Support the Client Relationship Programme in London
- Engage with existing Walkers clients to seek and maximise cross-selling/up-selling opportunities
- Assist with proposals as well as the drafting and socializing of WPS marketing materials to both clients and external intermediaries as appropriate
- Other ad hoc projects as maybe required within WPS from time to time
Education, Skills & Experience
- A proven track record of success with proven relevant experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated commercial awareness
- Knowledge of laws and regulations in the jurisdictions that WPS operates is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and determine impact of decisions on the ultimate performance of a regulated professional services business
- Excellent inter-personal, verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Strong organisational, analytical and decision-making skills with excellent attention to detail
- Solid track record of delivering business development initiatives and business growth
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Energy, enthusiasm and a proactive and solution-driven attitude
